Who plays?
“I’m packing my suitcase” is a perfect game for children of the age of four and older. Even though, you can never be too old to play this game. You can play it with two or more players. Depends on how many you want to play. Just keep in mind that it gets more complicated the more players join the game.

How to play “I’m packing my suitcase”?
The rules and the concept of this game are rather easy but the game itself is for sure challenging its players a lot.
It is about listing what things to pack in your suitcase. The first person begins saying: ”I’m packing my suitcase and I take … with me”. You can take every random object with you. It goes from player to player like this. The next player continues first repeating the same what the player before him just said and then adds another object. Like this, there are more and more things added to the suitcase and you have to remember to list all of them as soon as it is your turn.
In case someone is struggling to remember an object, the other players can either help or the player gets a few seconds to think and if he or she still can’t remember the object he or she is out. This adds a little bit more pressure to the player, but it is up to you how you want to play it.

Here is an example:
First player: I am packing my suitcase and I take a toothbrush with me.
Second player: I am packing my suitcase and I take a toothbrush and a card game with me.
Third player: I am packing my suitcase and I take a toothbrush, a card game and an aquarium with me.
Fourth player: I am packing my suitcase and I take a toothbrush, a card game, an aquarium and sunscreen with me.
First player: I am packing my suitcase and I take a toothbrush, a card game, an aquarium, sunscreen and my dog with me.

As you can see, you have to remember a lot of things, but these things don’t necessarily have to fit in an actual suitcase. It is even more fun if you are creative and take the craziest objects with you. Not to forget that it is also easier to remember.

Variations

It is also possible to play the game with movements instead of words. Here, instead of naming an object, one player after another does a movement. In the end, you will have created a little dance.
