I am sure you know the board game memory. It is available in all different kinds and colours and helps to improve your brain function. Not is it only a board game, but it can also be brought to life and this is exactly what the following game is all about. Instead of cards, you play with real humans and create your own memory game.
What do you need?
Besides fellow players, this game does not require any additional equipment. I suggest playing it in a group of around 10-20 players but as for most games, there is no limit when it comes to the number of players. The only thing that you have to keep in mind is that the number of players has to be even to form pairs.
How to play?
To begin, you have to select two people that are the “players”, the others are the “cards”.
The players have to walk away from the group while the cards form pairs of two because just like in the game memory, the players do not know beforehand where the card pairs lie. Once the players are far away, the card pairs individually decide on a move they want their card to be. This can be anything you want; clapping, jumping jack, spinning, etc. There is no limit to your imagination. Just remember to talk quietly so the two players do not know who you are paired up with. When all the pairs decided on a move, they randomly spread out across the playing field. The two players are then allowed to come back. One of the two starts to select a card. When he or she points at a card, the card has to show their move. Then, another card is selected. This card also makes the movement that he or she decided on with their partner. If the two cards match, the player found a pair and gets to go again and select two new cards. When a pair is found, they have to leave the playing field and stand behind the player that found them, just like in the board game. When there are no cards left, the pairs behind the two players are counted to see who has the most pairs, this player wins.
I hope you enjoy this game and have fun playing!
